Co-creative directors Coco Fong and Valerio Bava worked side-by-side with Simmons to design a line of footwear that was true to the brand’s aesthetic whilst creating something fresh and timeless. Pivoting to align with English eclecticism, the trio paid close attention to fabrics and decoration settling on the small details that would elevate an everyday staple.

“Working with Tabitha felt like such a natural step for us,” explain the co-creative directors. “The pieces highlight a harmony between Tabitha’s inimitable design preferences and our own signature brand details”.

Shapes synonymous with Simmons were reimagined by Fong and Bava, elevating mules and strappy sandals along with ballet pumps and kitten heels to offer a style that caters to day and night.

The Cameron slingback and Cassie mule arrive in satin with crystal embroidery shaped like flowers as decoration to resemble brogue detailing. Net mesh, on the other hand, was seen in both pink and black on the Liberty pump and finished with a bow to play with the idea of sultry femininity.

Referencing her own silhouette, Simmons’ debuts a new take on the Mary-Jane flat with the Kate, available either as the classic or as a 90mm heel.

“Working with Coco and Valerio on this project was a complete joy,” says Simmons. “I have loved revisiting my archives and this collaboration really showcases our combined DNA”.

AW14

This season, with an AW14 collection that can be taken from day to night, trotted around the office or alternatively dotted around the dance floor, Simmons offers a wealth of wearability in a number of chic staple designs. Defined by exquisite materials and likewise craftsmanship that comes naturally to Veneto’s master Italian cobblers, Simmons AW14 collection ticks all the boxes for a good shoe this season. Her 14th collection in total sees Simmons draw on her English heritage for a whimsical Victorian sentiment in romantic brushed leather and suede and rich berry hues.

Not content with simply one fabulous collection this season Simmons has also paired with footwear e-commerce site Shoescribe for a glitzy little capsule collection that should be on your list of ingredients for a party well done. Reinterpreting her signature sandal for the collaboration, Tabitha draws inspiration from her favourite Hollywood greats of the 1950s and ’60s in a variety of modern colour ways.

Namely, Simmons draws from Joseph L Mankiewicz’s classic All About Eve, a film which isn’t short on glamorous party settings, the kind that have inspired Tabitha to “create something classic but hyper-feminine after one of the most inspiring movies of all time, All About Eve.”
