GIVENCHY debuts gorgeous new bags and shoes just in time for spring. Designed by the brand’s creative director Matthew Williams, they are the perfect and oh-so-chic additions to the fashion house’s existing catalogue.

The Kenny [bag] is a supple bourse-style handbag that nods to the evening bags of the early 2000s but is anchored in the here and now,” writes Givenchy.

It is compact enough to be handheld or worn on the shoulder using the metal chain strap. The additional metal hardware details create a subtle edgy touch that draws it out of the early 2000s and well into 2022.

The Kenny Bag

The Antigona Sport is a contender for the it bag of the spring.

A well-received new addition to the Antigona Family range, which mimics the original shape of the classic. The bag is crafted using soft leather and is available in various shades, including a light lilac for Spring.

The Antigona Sport bag

Woven bags are one of this season’s hottest trends. The Givenchy SS22 collection includes a capsule of Rafia Embroidered bags in six styles, including the Antigona Tote – perfect for poolside outings.

It is available in a neutral colour palette featuring woven and hardware details that hit every mark.

A new purse also needs a new pair of shoes to go with it; thankfully, Givenchy has all the bases covered. The traditional clog gets a massive rebranding with the new Marshmellow Wedge and G Clog Boots.

With multiple colours to choose from – style does not have to be sacrificed for comfort, thanks to Givenchy’s new footwear.

Each season welcomes a new opportunity to revitalize one’s wardrobe. Givenchy, a brand that not only embodies the trends but creates them, is a perfect place to start on one’s search for the perfect spring addition to their closet.

NO ONE should have to sacrifice style for comfort; thankfully, one doesn’t have to with Giorgio Armani’s new menswear Mary Janes.

“Mr Armani explores the idea of clothing and accessories that frees instead of constructing, carefree thoughts instead of carelessness and of classic as proof of progress. As menswear evolves, its traditions are being challenged,” writes Giorgio Armani.

While historically, Mary Janes have been a style worn by women and children – Armani is pushing the boundary and bringing the beloved shoe over to menswear. Mary Janes are for everybody.

Giorgio Armani Mary Jane

Initially designed in the early 20th century and worn by children on formal occasions, the Mary Jane has become a staple due to its comfortability. Giorgio Armani modernises the Mary Jane using suede and chunkier proportions.

LOUIS Vuitton launches new, exclusive sneakers. The iconic trainer, LV Runner Tactic, is an exciting addition to the Louis Vuitton sneaker family – popular amongst sneaker collectors.

The first green model of the LV Runner Tactic is exclusively available in Miami, in the very first Men’s store in the United States. The shoe is inspired by the aesthetic of athletic shoes in the 1990s and offers similar flexibility and agility.

Designed with athletics in mind – the structure of the trainer is constructed from heat-sealed mesh and suede calf leather, using the least amount of stitching possible.

Have a need for speed?  Well, the sneaker’s wave-shaped sole is injected with foam – the cushioning supportive of every rebound and any requirement for speed.

Finished off with monogram flower details and available in four colourways, this is a collector’s shoe that sneakerheads will not want to miss.

THE classic French shoe makers Roger Vivier have launched their annual Christmas film, starring actress Virginie Ledoyen. The film was inspired by Creative Director Gherardo Felloni’s vision of a never-ending Christmas, where Roger Vivier accessories fall from the sky.

The film is a potent mix of classic glamour, retro horror film drama, saccharine colours and lurid tinsel, all encrusted with clusters of diamonds. The setting is nostalgic, and the theatrical narrative lends itself to old Hollywood, cut through with a playful humour. In Felloni’s eyes, it is exactly this multifaceted fusion that embodies his approach to Roger Vivier.

DANIEL Lee’s brave direction for Bottega Veneta is embodied in the abstracted silhouettes of his PF20 BV Bold shoe line. The spectrum of thigh-high and ankle boots, and open and closed-toe mules, are united by a shared stiletto heel and hidden platform.

The shoes’ square toes exaggerate the slope of the arch – elevated heel to broad toe. At once elegant and audacious, they offer the union of luxury and avant-garde for which Lee’s Bottega Veneta has become known.

Bottega Veneta BV Bold collection

The PF20 collection offered a mix of textures— shoes made of leather both smooth, and woven in Lee’s intrecciato style. Puffy winter coats, slinky sequin dresses and sleek leather trousers were matched by the soft stretch of the leather sock boots, and the weave of the mules. Bulbous-toed sandals match the abstracted silhouettes of sporty outerwear, where the buttery leather of the mules compliments the soft, feminine drape of dresses and skirts.

The shoes are cast in a palette of baby blue, candy pink, bright chartreuse, and softer creams, among others; and textured with a mix of broad weaving, delicate plaiting and smooth uppers. The result is an exciting blend of rich materials and experimental design.

ATTITUDE, shape and colour echo coherently throughout Daniel Lee’s latest Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2020 collection.

Designed for every day wear, while making an elevated, visionary contribution to any wardrobe, the range is brimming with must-have accessories, separates and shoes, comprised of evening-ready dresses, elaborate bags and versatile footwear, all with a streetwear aesthetic infusion.

Juxtapositions play a recurrent theme throughout – blacks, white and neutral beiges are central to the collection, accommodated by popping hues of bubble gum blues, carmine reds and canary yellows.

The collection is no stranger to experimenting with pattern and texture. Designed from leather, nylon, and emblazoned with sequins, innovative technique lies at the very heart of each piece.

The brand’s emblematic intrecciato technique features across the collection, but perhaps most prominently in the stand-out piece blue calf-length puffer style coat, and involves the intricate primary but not limited to weaving of leather.
