INTRODUCING the limited edition collaboration between Bvlgari’s Inaugural Creative Director, Mary Katrantzou and Destrée co-founder, Géraldine Guyot — a daring re-imagination of the house’s famed Serpenti handbag.

The resulting Serpentine Top Handle bag is envisioned to become a “tactile and timeless” staple within one’s prized accessory arsenal. The brainchild of the two Central Saint Martins graduates, it borrows thematic inspiration from the anthropomorphic snake motif that has become synonymous with Bvlgari’s intricate metalwork creations.

Evinced by the prominent placement of precise passementerie on the handle’s silhouette, the creation is directly informed by the serpent’s sinuous curves. Passementerie, a style signifier of Guyot’s Destrée, is also a technique embedded within Bvlgari’s fascinating 141-year-long history, with its use found in its early 20th-century jewellery pieces to suspend its forged silver pendants from.

Here, it takes form through curvilinear detailing created using electroforming, an artisanal fine jewellery technique that allows volume without weight. Its other striking features include a sculptural coiled handle replete with glinting gold-plated curves and an efficient press-button clasp, a pristine nubuck leather exterior and a smooth, supple nappa leather lining.

Bvlgari Serpenti in Conversation commences a new chapter of collaborations for the luxury Roman house, which had initially explored the involvement of other distinctive design voices in 2017 with their Serpenti Through The Eyes Of series, which invited creatives such as British footwear designer Nicholas Kirkwood, Yoon Ahn of Ambush and Dior Homme jewellery, and the Parisian accessory label, Casablanca to reinterpret Bvulgari’s iconic Serpenti model.

Now, with Mary Katrantzou at the helm as the brand’s first Creative Director for leather goods and accessories, the brand embarks on  a new journey, one that seeks to spark conversations and celebrate female ingenuity.

Described as “a bold union of jewellery, savoir-faire and contemporary design,” this new release embodies “the Serpenti’s eternal spirit of transformation and reinvention,” acting as a stepping stone for the continued re-shaping of the serpent’s talismanic spirit, strength and the power it lends to multi-faceted accessories such as the new Serpentine Top Handle bag designed by female fashion designer, founder and entrepreneur, Geraldine Guyot.

THE ITALIAN luxury label was bestowed with the honour at the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards, currently in its 4th year running. Representing the successful culmination of environmental efforts made by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber for Italian Fashion) and the UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion, the ceremony was a roaring success.

A riveting balletic performance of Ravel’s Bolero, a red carpet heaving with a constellation of ecologically conscious creatives, and a heartfelt speech delivered by Anna Wintour honouring the legacy of the late, great Giorgio Armani were ranked among the night’s defining moments.

CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards: Iman and Matteo Tamburini

Beneath the decadent neoclassical ceiling of the Teatro alla Scala, iconic supermodel Iman took to the stage to present Tod’s Creative Director, Matteo Tamburini, with the coveted Craft and Artisanship Award. The award is a recognition reserved for those who have showcased a remarkable commitment to promoting Italy’s rich artisanal output, whilst also pushing the envelope for embracing more circular measures in the manufacturing of their designs, a feat accomplished by Tod’s through its Product Digital Passport tool.

Founded in 1920 by Italian cobbler Filippo Della Valle, Tod’s has adopted a forward-facing ethos with its Passport project. Available as an app, it hones in on the house’s hero products, namely the Di Bag and the classic Gommino car shoes.

Interestingly, it harnesses Aura Blockchain technology and an NFC tag to digitally assess the sustainable merits of each product. Simply hold a smartphone close to each leather good and a specialised webpage appears, offering consumers a comprehensive account of its production chain, materials used, and compliance standards met.

“The Tod’s Passport project represents a true revolution in the luxury sector, combining innovation and sustainability into one exceptional product,” said Tamburini upon receiving the award, “It’s our way of looking to the future while never forgetting the roots of our tradition.”

EVER since the acclaimed Artist-to-Artist initiative was introduced onto the Frieze programme in 2023, it has been hailed as one of the highlights of the feverishly anticipated contemporary art fair. Now, for its 2025 edition – placed within the leafy landscape of London’s Regent’s Park –  a first-time partner has burst onto the scene to spur on the scheme’s success, Tiffany & Co

The initiative involves a curated selection of skilled, auspicious artists — each of whom has earned the endorsement of another top-tier artist due to their distinctive visual vernaculars and individualistic creative visions.

This year’s iteration will feature the following lineup: Ilana Harris-Babou, who was selected by Camille Henrot; Katherine Hubbard, who was selected by Nicole Eisenman; René Treviño, who was selected by Amy Sherald; Neal Tait, who was selected by Chris Ofili; T Venkanna, who was selected by Bharti Kher; and Ana Segovia, who was selected by Abraham Cruzvillegas. Their work will be exhibited across six solo presentations, representing a steadfast devotion to fostering connection and growth within the Frieze fair and global network.

The vision underpinning Artist-to-Artist is to cast a necessary spotlight on the art world’s overarching commitment to championing future generations of talent. Crucially, it offers up-and-coming creatives career-defining exposure to the bona fide collectors, critics, and curators who flock to London for the five-day fair. Its assemblage is resolutely artist-driven and this year is no different — with the added delight of being bolstered by monetary support from the fêted fine jewellery house.

Tiffany & Co. is no stranger to the realm of classic and contemporary art. Indeed, this symbiotic partnership recalls some of its absorbing contributions to the art scene since the American jewellery atelier’s inception by Charles Lewis Tiffany in 1837. Case in point, the enchanting window displays designed by Gene Moore, which, from the 1950s onwards, invited cerebral collaborative contributions from artists including Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg.

In more recent years, the house has also continued to commission cutting-edge works by artists such as Damien Hirst, Vik Muniz, and Michelangelo Pistoletto, and on occasion, has even displayed pieces by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Hans Hartung in select stores.

As emphasised in its press release, a commitment to superlative quality paired with a profound love for art, design, and exceptional craftsmanship has long been engrained in the House’s DNA. Honing a focus on these themes, conversations between the chosen artists and other original editorial content will be available on all Frieze social channels once the fair has officially commenced.

Frieze London’s “celebration of creative community” will run from 15 to 19 October 2025, as will its unmissable Artist-to-Artist inclusion. And just like Tiffany’s trademark windows in The Big Apple, it beckons visitors and visionaries inside to experience the artistic beauty at play firsthand.

THIS SEPTEMBER, Hannah Martin will release the second iteration of her popular high jewellery collection, The Perfect Drug.

Martin, who founded her eponymous brand in 2006, and has been commissioned to create fine jewellery for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Chaumet, offers a new line of empowering statement necklaces and rings that entice the wearer ‘to feel, to love, to live life to the fullest.’

Hannah Martin The Perfect Drug [02]

The latest collection comprises 28 unique pieces. It not only contains thematic links to youth culture, live music and political turmoil, but also seeks to inspire moments of elation and experience through bridging a utilitarian design sensibility with meticulous jewellery engineering.

Explored through custom-designed hinges, studs and soft, distinctive curves, this collection fuses glamour with an unapologetically punk-ish, subversive feel. Grit and sensuality are also at its heart, with references borrowed from acclaimed photographer Robert Mapplethorpe and the queer erotic art produced by Tom of Finland.

Hannah Martin The Perfect Drug [02]

The campaign, lensed by photographer Stewart Baxter at Jumbo’s Clown Room in LA, hones in on this gritty and audacious approach. Rebellious, voluptuous necklaces also punctuate the collection, ranging in price from £630 to £27,000.

The Perfect Drug [02] will be available from September 2025 at the Hannah Martin London showroom, HannahMartinLondon.com and selected international retailers.

ALESSANDRO Michele’s Autumn/ Winter 2025 Valentino campaign has just been released following the collection’s unveiling in Paris last Spring.

Posing in vivid red-tiled public restrooms to the sound of OTHA’s Club 20, the campaign film and imagery reflect the uncanny Lynchian space that the AW25 show was staged in.

According to Michele, this unique setting is where “decency collides with guilty pleasure and exposure flirts with occultation. It’s a liminal space that, in this campaign, becomes enriched with new bodies, gazes and encounters, becoming an unfailing scene of possibilities.”

Indeed, Luchford’s corresponding images exude themes of introspection, intimacy and the questioning of sartorial identity. Penning the press release himself, Michele endeavours to reject fashion as a form of novelty or an expression of a hypertrophic world with his latest release, instead opting to examine the longevity of style and the sense of self created through the act of dressing.

With Le Méta-Théâtre Des Intimités, the designer traces the teachings of philosopher and political theorist Hannah Arendt, who claimed that “being and appearing coincide.” With that in mind, Michele discloses that fashion’s most powerful legacy is the shared political and poetic strength it evokes through intimacy and identity, with his latest collection made to last, and for living in.

THE FIRST glimpse of Glenn Martens‘ debut Autumn/Winter 2025 Avant-Première collection for Maison Margiela has been released, featuring the house’s first celebrity face in its 37-year history.

American singer Miley Cyrus stars in a series of paintery portraits, lensed by Italian photographer Paolo Roversi. Having previously donned Margiela designs on red carpets such as Vanity Fair’s 2025 Oscar Party, the singer’s edge and deep-seated appreciation for the considered craftsmanship and Trompe-l’œil motifs, synonymous with the Maison, make her an ideal ambassador for the luxury brand.

Maison Margiela AW25 Campaign

Encapsulated through stripped-back, enigmatic expressions, the artist plays the Margiela archetype in a state of undress. Wearing emblematic deconstructed and tailored garments derived from the newest collection, Cyrus is depicted in moody black and white hues. While the white brushstrokes allude to Margiela’s white-overpaint bianchetto technique dating back to 1989, Roversi also captures Martens’ reimagining of the Maison’s iconic Tabi boots and the 5AC bag (originally introduced by John Galliano for the brand’s SS16 collection).

“Standing naked for a fashion campaign felt major, all I wore was body paint and the signature painted Tabi boots,” says Miley Cyrus of ushering in Glenn Martens’ era, “In that moment, Margiela and I became one.”

Though Martens’ next collection will officially be unveiled this October, the campaign offers an intriguing insight into his vision as Maison Margiela’s Creative Director – juxtaposing celebrity culture with the house’s iconography and quintessential artisanal approach.
